Functions and Responsibilities

Tanzeemul Madarisil Islamia performs several important responsibilities for the development, regulation, and advancement of Madrassa education across North-East India.

One of its key responsibilities is to supervise and regulate affiliated Madrassas so that they operate according to a unified academic structure. Through proper coordination and guidance, the department ensures that the educational activities of Madrassas are conducted in an organized and disciplined manner.

The organization also works to improve the quality of Madrassa education by preparing suitable courses and curricula that combine traditional Islamic learning with necessary elements of general education. This integrated approach helps students gain strong religious knowledge while also becoming aware of modern educational requirements.

Another important responsibility of Tanzeemul Madarisil Islamia is to grant affiliation to Private Madrassas, Qawmi Madrassas, and Banat (Girls’) Madrassas throughout the North-Eastern region of India. Through this affiliation system, Madrassas are brought under a common academic framework where teaching standards, curriculum structure, and examinations are maintained in a systematic way.

The department also conducts centralized examinations for higher stages of Islamic education, including Dawra-e-Hadith, Takmeel-e Alia, and Takmeel-e Hifz. These examinations ensure that students graduating from affiliated Madrassas meet proper academic and religious standards.

Through these initiatives, Tanzeemul Madarisil Islamia plays a vital role in preserving the tradition of Islamic scholarship and preparing future scholars who will guide society with knowledge, wisdom, and moral values.

Implementation of Curriculum

According to the curriculum and regulations prepared by Tanzeemul Madarisil Islamia, more than 150 Madrassas across North-East India are currently functioning under this structured educational system.

These Madrassas follow a standardized academic framework designed by the department. The system ensures uniformity in teaching methods, course content, and evaluation procedures across affiliated institutions.

The curriculum has been carefully designed to maintain a balance between classical Islamic studies and general educational subjects. Students study the Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic language, and other essential Islamic sciences along with selected general subjects that help them engage effectively with modern society.

Through this structured educational system, Madrassas implement organized classroom instruction, systematic teaching methods, and proper examination processes. This approach has significantly improved the overall academic standard of Madrassa education in the region.

Today, more than 150 affiliated Madrassas operate successfully under this framework, following the educational guidelines and academic standards established by Tanzeemul Madarisil Islamia and contributing to the intellectual and moral development of the Muslim community in North-East India.
